NEAT – New English American Theatre is proud to feature aspiring as well as established, published authors, poets, playwrights and giving them the opportunity to present their own works on a regular basis with the DARK MONDAY @ MERLIN series.
This time, they are very pleased to present American poetess Gabriele Glang for the first time. She will be accompanied by pianist Florian Eisentraut.
The Virginia-born, bilingual German-American poet and painter Gabriele Glang resides in southern Germany. A George Mason University (BA in creative writing, Fairfax, Virginia) and George Washington University (MA level publications specialist, Washington, DC) alumnus, Glang’s first book, Stark Naked on a Cold Irish Morning, was published by SCOP Publications in 1990. Her work focuses on a variety of mediums, including Japanese wood lithography and pulp painting. The culmination of these developments is the artist’s book, which she perceives as the ideal marriage of her two great passions in life: poetry and painting.
