Vernissage and screening of a 1939 American political comedy-drama classic

Preparing for this year’s U.S. presidential election and leading up to suspenseful months of campaigning and presidential debates, the DAZ has designed an exhibition illustrating the complex processes behind the electoral system. Between the formal obstacles involved in an election and the variety of significant occasions leading up to it, there is a multitude of other hurdles the candidates – and their voters – must overcome during the election year before an official can be sworn in. The intricacies of the U.S. election system can therefore be very tiring to understand. The exhibition portrays the most important steps of the presidential election, explaining their significance and depicting the impact they have on the election. It also presents the candidate hopefuls and gives a brief overview of the possible proceedings in the upcoming election year. Stop by and take a look around while you can enjoy a cinematic jewel that showcases the hardships of making it in Washington.

Snacks & drinks will be provided.
