Chair: Florian Haßler MdL, Minister of State
Florian Haßler studied political science, economics, and public law in Freiburg and Aix-en-Provence (France). He then worked at the European Parliament in Brussels and Strasbourg. In 2011, Haßler joined the State Chancellery of Baden-Württemberg, where he initially headed the office of former Minister-President Winfried Kretschmann and, in 2017, took over as head of the Strategy Department of the State Ministry.
Since 2021, Florian Haßler has served as State Secretary responsible for political coordination as well as cross-border and international cooperation. In this role, he has been particularly committed to transatlantic cooperation. Haßler has long been involved in the state partnership with California, which is based on the international climate protection alliance Under2Coalition, jointly initiated by both regions.
