Are you preparing for the English Abitur in Baden-Württemberg? This online lecture is designed to support students tackling the Abitur topic On the Move – Migration and Cross-Cultural Encounters.

Using examples from the short stories and the film, we will explore the central exam themes, including identity formation, belonging, cultural adaptation, and the transformative encounters that shape migrant experiences across different contexts and generations.
This lecture provides an overview of key immigration concepts, such as push and pull factors, the American Dream, integration challenges, and the complex realities of cross-cultural encounters, with a focus on current political developments in the U.S.

During the interactive Q&A session, students have the opportunity to clarify specific questions about the topic and discuss exam-relevant issues. Teachers are welcome to attend and recommend this digital event to their students as Abitur preparation.
