This interactive online workshop for EFL teachers will focus on digital tools and AI for their lesson preparation. In this session, we will help you explore the latest digital tools and AI-powered solutions that can help you prepare for EFL-lessons more effectively. Our workshop will be filled with interactive tasks and creative ideas designed to keep you engaged and motivated throughout.

During the workshop, we will cover a range of topics, including:
– The benefits of using digital tools and AI
– How to identify the best tools for your needs (and your learners)
– Strategies for using AI-powered tools to improve your learners’ performance

Some of the digital tools and AI-powered solutions that will be covered in the workshop may include: writing assistant programs, interactive handout generators, AI-based flashcards, AI-powered image generators and explainer video generators.

Prof. Dr. Thomas Strasser

is a professor of foreign language methodology and technology-enhanced teaching and learning at the University College of Teacher Education in Vienna. He is an international speaker, author of publications and methodology bestsellers such as Mind the App, All Access AI, and a reviewer for European research and educational institutions. His areas of expertise include digitalization, mobile learning, AI in education, and school development. To gain a deeper understanding of the school system, he took a sabbatical from teacher education and returned to teaching at a secondary school—“one of my best decisions.” Beyond academia, he is a passionate Borussia Dortmund and Austria Wien supporter as well as a dedicated (ultra) trail runner.
