What exactly are Midterm Elections and what is their significance for voters, the political system and decision-making? What are the important issues in this year’s campaigns? What is at stake for the Democratic Party, and how might the outcome affect the remaining term of President Trump?

In this interactive workshop for school classes, we will answer all these questions and introduce the voting system for the Midterms in a fun way. Students will participate in quizzes and polls and share their own questions and thoughts.

The event is part of the Lange Nacht der Demokratie, which takes place for the second time this year in Baden-Württemberg. Across the state, people in cities and towns are discussing, debating and reflecting on democracy in a wide variety of formats.
