If you love reading and discussing young adult literature, come visit our Talking Books session in February! We will be discussing Clap When You Land by Elizabeth Acevedo.

The acclaimed novel is the story of two girls – Camino and Yahaira – one in the Dominican Republic and one in New York City. Acevedo weaves together the story of these girls who have never spoken and never known about each other’s existence, brought together by an unfortunate accident. In this in-verse novel, the author tackles family secrets, toxic masculinity, and socio-economic differences with incisive clarity and candor.
