Empirical literary studies invite us to rethink why and how fiction engages our ability to understand different cultures. This is crucial for stories designed to communicate across ethnic, cultural, and national contexts and to invite readers to walk in someone else’s shoes.
This event will explore how to involve high school students as co-researchers and foster deep reading. Participants will attend a hands-on session with examples of classroom-based research.
