Are you preparing for the English Abitur in Baden-Württemberg? This online lecture is designed to support students tackling the exam topic On the Move – Migration and Cross-Cultural Encounters.
The presentation takes a global perspective on migration, examining the barriers migrants face as they cross linguistic, cultural, and societal boundaries. Using examples from the short stories and the film on the Abitur topic, we will explore how individuals navigate language challenges and cultural misunderstandings as they adapt to new environments.
Beyond personal experiences, we will also discuss institutional barriers created by government policies, with a focus on current political developments in the U.S. and their impact on migration. Students will gain insight into global migration patterns and the systemic challenges that shape migrant experiences across different regions and political contexts.
During the interactive Q&A session, students have the opportunity to clarify questions about the topic and discuss exam-relevant issues. Teachers are welcome to attend and recommend this digital event to their students as Abitur preparation.
