Join us for an engaging discussion with David Frum! A former speechwriter for President George W. Bush and a longtime political commentator, Frum has been a prominent conservative voice who has also emerged as a sharp critic of Trump’s leadership and its impact on democratic norms and insitutions. This conversation will draw from Frum’s experience in policymaking and his extensive writing on authoritarian tendencies, party realignment, and the resilience of democratic systems.

David Frum

is a staff writer at The Atlantic and has written two books on Donald Trump’s presidency: the 2018 New York Times-Bestseller Trumpocracy – The Corruption of the American Republic and the 2020 book Trumpocalypse – Restoring American Democracy From 2001 to 2002 he served as a special advisor and speechwriter to President George W. Bush during and after 9/11. Frum is widely recognized as an influential voice in the American conservative movement and as one of the first conservative Republicans to warn about the risks of a Trump presidency.  His 2017 The Atlantic cover story, “How to Build an Autocracy,” remains one of the most cited analyses of the Trump years. In addition, his new popular podcast, “The David Frum Show,” explores key questions about US politics and society.
