In February Let’s Read will discuss The Wilderness by Angela Flournoy (292 pp).

This „sweeping second novel“ of Flournoy’s as The New York Times called it, moves back and forth between Los Angeles and New York, focusing on the lives and interrelationships of a group of four young black women. This book was long-listed for the National Book Award, and Flournoy’s first novel, The Turner House was a finalist for that award.
