What is it really like to start over in a new country? Join us for a moderated conversation exploring the experiences of an American who has made Germany his home. Through personal stories, humorous anecdotes, and honest reflections, our guest Zac Ryan will share what it means to navigate life between two cultures. What aspects of everyday German life are the most surprising? From cultural misunderstandings and bureaucratic hurdles to unexpected discoveries and new opportunities, the discussion will examine both the challenges and rewards of building a life in Germany.
Following the conversation, audience members will have the opportunity to ask questions and join in the discussion. Come for an evening of insight, laughter, and cross-cultural exchange.

He graduated from Wayland Union High School before earning a Bachelor’s degree in International Business from Davenport University. A passionate sports enthusiast, Zac enjoys watching basketball, football, soccer, baseball, and hockey. He proudly supports all Detroit professional teams and is eagerly hoping for a Detroit Lions Super Bowl victory next year!
